emergency brake problem,
I sent my truck to the body shop to get the body repaired and now its home at last. Now, when the emergency brake pedal is pressed down, it will not lock into position and stay. Any suggestions as to how to fix this ? thanks a lot,

emergency brake problem,
There is a good possibility that they Unhooked the Single cable that runs from the foot mechanism inside the cab to the Arm under and behind the cab. The single cable Hooks in the Center of the Arm and has a Threaded rod to adjust the tension so it can pull the Two Parallel cables coming From the rear brake assembly's and allow you to set Both rear brakes. If this is set way too Tight then you will never beable to depress the Arm enough inside the cab to even get it to lock!!! Get a friend and have them to sit inside the cab and you get under the truck and Loosen OFF on the Nut and adjust it back to where it just starts to get tight......then have them engage the E-brake as many times as it takes to get it set properly..... you will need to Tighten the nut alittle each time until you achieve the correct amount of tension!!! .........fd

If I can find any friends to help me, ha I've been working on this old truck for 3 years now and I think they all dont love it anymore like I do, ha thanks, I'll give your tip a try
