I am looking for some Coil Spring Isolators for my 1985 F150 4x2. The 25 year old rubber washers that reside underneath the coil springs are deteriorated and need replacing. I would like to use some polyurethane ones, as I am replacing all of the original rubber bushings with new polyurethane bushings. I am having no luck in my search. Does anyone have any idea where I could find replacements? At this point, I would even consider replacing them with rubber ones. The local 4wheelparts wanted me to bring the old ones in to see if they could measure them and possibly match them up with something that they might have or be able to get. The only problem is that there isn't much of anything left there.
I think LMC lists these in their catalog. NPD might as well. Perhaps bronco graveyard does too. At least 2 of these companies have links from this site, as they are paying sponsors.
I don't know of anyone offering poly replacements.
NPD catalog, page 56. Item number F-5415-2 Coil spring isolator, 82-91. 2 rqd, $10.40 (I'm assuming each).
Sorry, don't an LMC catalog handy, or BG catalog at all.
Found it, in mine it's on page 57. In the LMC catalog, page 126, Item# 40-2064, $6.95 x2 + shipping. Thanks, I may just have to do the mail order thing. Too bad they are rubber, I'd really rather have them in poly.
Eh, I was using the downloaded catalog, it was prolly 57, but it just had 56 at the top, but I zoomed in the right hand side page.......
I figure this could be a fluke, or might be cause the catalog was coded before Win 7 x64 came out.......
I hear ya on the poly. I guess we just have to take whats available, and be happy.
