I just got a headliner for my '65. Price was right - $10 - all I had to do was clean the grime off it and it is in excellent condition. The only problem is the guy didn't have any instructions. What order do the four pieces go on?
I hope you picked up all of the screws and clips along with it. I believe there was an optional coat hook available for the passenger side only as well.
Yes, I got all the clips and screws! Even got the optional coat hook! Don't have a clue where it goes, but it isn't going on anyway.
I decided the stock headliner wasn't the look I was going for so I went out and got black vinyl and covered each piece before installing.
Which by the way, after installing the top first, I found that wasn't the way to go. So I removed the top and installed the corners, back, then the top. That worked much better, but it was still a PITA. As a matter of fact, I had to leave the clips that connect the top to the back off because even with my 13 year old daughter helping, 4 hands were not enough to hold the two pieces together and attach the top. I have another solution to hold the two together that I will attempt next weekend.
