Well, I finally sold my OBS and got a SD.
1999 F350 EC LB DRW, 6 speed manual.
Started fine when I went to check it out a few days ago.
I picked it up this evening and made a few stops on the way home, and it doesn't seem to like starting . It cranks just fine so it ain't the starter, but it'll crank for a few seconds and nothing. Then if I reglow the plugs and crank it for a second or so it starts up fine. Doesn't run rough or anything, just has a little trouble starting.
My first guess is that it's a fuel pump going out or the pickup is clogged a little, and it's just not getting enough fuel on the first key turn and then by turning the key off and on it gets enough.
What do yall think?
I am a newbe but I would check the GPR(Glow Plug Relay) first. Search GPR on this site and you will find a ton of info, pics and such
Well I thought so too, but it was close to 90 today so it shouldn't have needed it. But I tested it anyway, kinda... I drove 20 min home, then turned the engine off for 30 sec and tried to start it back up, and it gave me the same crap wantin to crank for an unreasonably long time.
