fuel pump test???
I took off the glass bowl and poured gas into the sieve and port holes. I took off the rubber gas line at the pump to the tank and pured gas into that line. I took the line off from the pump to the carb to make sure that was not clogged. Then I poured gas into that line. Then I poured some gas into the carb. I got in the truck and it backfired a couple of times and then started right up. I let it run for a while and it ram good. My wife called me in for supper so I shut it off. Went back out and told the wife I am going for a drive. The truck started right up. I drove around town so I would not be too far away just in case. The local car club was setting up for their car show at the local airport so I drove down that way and met an older guy that told me he just got 2 '56 he is using to make one. Had a chat with some of the guys I knew. Shut it down when I saw I wasn't getting out of there soon. It started right up and got me home! I still think I have a slight carb problem when I accelerate. It bogs down a bit. But at least it is running.
Now shall I clean it up and take it to the show on Sunday?? I know you don't enter to win but I will be in a class called 2 wheel drive stock trucks all years. Last 2 times I was in this show I was up against trucks from the 90's and 00's. Since I do not have antique plates they won't let me in the antique truck class....
Thanks for all your help!!

I'm glad you got the truck running. Enjoy!
