Yeah I saw that...IMO, as much as I wanna sell my hood, I would try to find something closer...between the purchase and shipping by truck as its oversized you would prolly be into it for over 500 by the time all was said and done...
May try Craig's list, or ebay for donor truck with a hood in good condition, possibly break even by selling what don't need. Don't know of any Ford supplier's who offer metal reproduction hoods. Not a fan of fiberglass but the repro hoods begin at around $500.
Ive been lookin around so far nothing in North Carolina I really only need a hood to have all good metal (already have everything else save some bed metal) so I guess the search continues

You should talk to Tom at Flashback F100s. He may not have anything currently but he makes regular trips out west to bring clean metal back to the east. Since you're in the same state it wouldn't be hard for you to get it. I imagine he'd be happy enough to put you on a waiting list for when he finds one.
How many would'ja like? Out here in LA LA Land (Hollywood speak for Los Angeles), these hoods are a dime a dozen.
I'll betcha if I lived in NC, I could find one in a coupla days.
People tend to give up too soon...they hit a coupla yards, no one has any, so they start cryin' the blues.
In 2008, I attended the F100 SuperNats in Knoxville, saw several nice hoods at the swap meet.
Driving the back roads in SC, I spotted an abandoned 1965 F100 (with the hood and engine parts in the bed) located in marshland near Union. Posted in the SC chapter where it was located.
SW of Cherokee NC on a back road alongside a river, I spotted a 1965 F600 Custom Cab dump truck, that had been sittin' there since Reagan was prez.
I drive back roads whenever I can...cuz you won't find diddly-doo while cruisin' along on interstate highways.
btw: Wrecking yards are on a nationwide computerized hot line. Go to one, ask them to put the hood on the wanted list. Make sure to list ALL its applications.
Im not giving up just checking other avenues since they are available. And yes I have picked many yards but so far all the hoods have been beyond repair, but Im still looking.
