service engine soon light
I have 1999 f250 7.3 superduty i am pulling a 35 ft 5th wheel camper my problem is when I am on a hard pull my service enging light will come on for a little whil and go off when i come out of the pull what might be causing this only mods that have been made is the air filter and tranny has been rebuilt

Your signature mentions an Edge chip, you may be over-boosting the engine and the truck is setting a code and de-fueling, which would set a soft code. Does the light stay on for a few minutes then go off? . Do you have a set of gauges?But really it could be a lot of things. A little more info about your truck and what it does when the light comes on could help.

Mine does the same thing.. It is not over boost, but i think the just the hpop can't keep up the demand.. Pretty normal with a tuner or chip.. But would suggest you get gauges to watch your EGT and Boost numbers especially when towing.. and a Trans temp gauge..
