Fuel line replacement
Welcome to the forum! Hope your stay is pleasant! There's alot of friendly knowledgeable folks here who R willing 2 help out.
U can do either.
The ready made can take a long time to get there, expensive, & several choices R available.
U can make up your own (may B all U need, i.e. from the break on) if there is a 'flair tool' around to make the unions - connections from line to line. Also need 2 B careful in forming it (bending) so it don't kink or break. There's several tools for that (tube benders of all sorts) but I assume, with care, U don't need that.
Is your line pretty rusted? I thought that may B true cuz it broke on ya. If it is U may wanna replace more than just from the break. Orig. from '82 should B pretty "gone" and U don't wanna leave em crappy cuz that's not safe.
Stay in touch, let us know how it went or if you have any other Qs. I'm not a mechanic (there's plenty here) and the members have saved me lots of trouble, time and $ (the latter important 2 the unemployed - me!).
Lastly, ck into your profile (click on the white < CP > in the left hand side in the blue strip @ top of this page) area and fill out what U want (some info comes up in the sig. area i.e. seen in the bottom of this post ur reading now) so we have more info, can contact U "back channel" and have a name w/ the typed post. I went there and joined my 'local' (we have a statewide chapter - meet 1X a mo for activities) for more comradeship and mechanical ideas/assistance.
