water pump replacement
I am an infrequent mechanic. 2000 F-150 6 cyl. 5 speed A/C with 219K. Sounds like the water pump is rattling. It's the original. How difficult is it to replace? In the olden days (80's) this was a six bolt operation. How much mroe difficult is this?

i did my 5.4 ... biggest problem is getting the fluid drive fan coupling off the shaft. it screws on. I took off the fan and stuck it forward to the radiator, inside the fan housing to get it out of the way. The pump sets in a pilot bore fit in the block. not a face flange... took a little prying to get it out.
