Leaf question...
Hey i was just wondering, i might be able to get a set of rear leafs off of a real highboy, if i were to throw them on the back of my 78 4x4 1/2 ton, would it give it any "lift"?

Nope, they will not fit. They are only 2.25 inches wide. Even if they would fit, you would not see much lift. The rear springs are the same as the 2wd trucks of that era. Most of the extra height comes from a taller block.
