Big issue with 2003 v10.

Just picked up my truck, total bill for 4hours labor and parts was 375.00 , I am happy with this price. They welded nuts on the broken studs to remove them. They had 2 that were broke flush with the head, built them up with welds so they could weld a nut on. With 88,000 miles on the truck,when should I change the spark plugs, heard about issues with the plugs.

I would go ahead and do it now. They are easy to change.
Blow the crap out of the holes before you pull the plugs.
Put the new ones in with anti-seize and TQ to 168 in-lbs ( 14 ft-lbs).
Use Motorcraft plugs.
