I have a problem with my electrical plug on my truck..all connections work except running lights.. I've traced/probbed wires to harness connection no power on either side..stumped
That connection is powered by a relay to protect the truck's electrical system from over-loads in a trailer. The power to the relay, and to it's coil, are both protected by fuses.
If you could give us your truck's year, we might be able to come up with a wiring diagram, along with fuse numbers and locations.
There is the bank of fuses under your dash, (Which I am sure you already found), but there is also a Power Junction Box, (Fancy for... another fuse panel), under the hood on the drivers side against the firewall. There are fuses in there for trailer towing too so make sure those are all good as well. Your manual should have a diagram of what is what. If you don't have the manual then I am sure someone here will post it for you.
Thanks for the info Pop. I didn't know that. And here I have been looking around for an 03 with the 7.3 in it. I would of thought something was wrong when I didn't find it under the hood. HA!
Ok 02 F350 CC. SRW..If fuse/relay bad wouldnt all funtions not be working at the truck plug..I have everything except running lights for trailer.. All lights work on the truck

On mine I have seperate fuses for each function...brakes, battery charge, left turn, right turn, parking and backup. All functions are not controlled on one fuse.
My truck & manual is at home but I can check it out and post back later today.
If you have the under-hood fuse box, then it will help. But if like SpringerPop said, not there in the 02's, then hopefully someone else will respond.
Just want to give a Big Thanks to FTE-members on the responses on helping with my lights.. Sure enough #38 fuse was blown.. As soon as I got off work ,Checked fuse/replaced hooked up to trailer and headed to Frankfort,KY (3hrs) to get my sisters Chebbie, Long road trip.. Sorry for the late Thank you's..
