got to thinking
We are trying to get cold air into our engine right? What if I wrapped the cold side tube in like a header wrap or something. Would this help or hinder this issue? I'm going to be running water injection very soon,like this weekend. Just a thought??

I'm not running an intercooler and wrap my pipe with exhaust wrap, simply because it makes a big difference because its only a short tube directly above the valley and heat soak does hinder it some without it. However in your situation with using an intercooler I believe that the gains would be minimal, if even measureable at all. To see much of a gain in efficiency, you would need to go more along the lines of ceramic coating the inside of everything possible from the point of where the air goes into the filter all the way to the heads.
