You could also plug it into another truck to ascertain whether you get the same readings or misreadings. That would be helpful in determining if the gauge took a dump or not.
Why do you need to PM the info re what vehicle you have this attached to?

William, I would do that if I could but the thing that has me a little confused is that this thread started out as being "SirWilbin's Scan Gauge" problem so how did it become your problem as well.
