don't know about aftermarket, but mine did the samething. take it off and apart. when you get down to just the *** & rubber diaphram. soak it with some light oil. let it set. put a whench on it turn it a couple times. then more oil. this made mine work like a champ.

This is what I have on my truck.
Riffraff Diesel: Warn Premium Hub Set
Remember, you will loose the "auto" feature when you convert to Warn's. You have to get out of the truck to lock and unlock. IMO, I didn't care because I knew that my hubs were locked or not without any guessing. Here's what they look like on the truck. Takes about 20 minutes to install both without having to jack up the wheels.
