starter swap, what will fit

Ok, so the starter on my 67 f100 is bad, I need a new one, my truck has the 352, My question is, what all engines can I find this starter. my mom has a couple of old rotting fords on her land, ( a 71 with a 390 and a 76 f350, no idea what engine is in that one ) would either of those work? or maybe ill have to go to the pull and save. or should I just pony up the $40 for a reman. one from autozone. thanks

Any, 352, 360, 390, 428 will fit. I suggest going to the parts house.

mini starter

My 72 kept eating starters over the yrs (too close to the headers) even with heat wrap around it. Sprung for a Jegs mini starter, and now no worries. The best part is I dont have to unbolt the headers to get the thing out. Did have to grind an ear off of the trans case (about 1/4") to get it on. Sure does spin that 390 over.
