Josh is in Utah. If you do end up making a roadtrip to his place, you'll be about half way to mine.

Yeah thats crazy isn't it? I mean I know its been done but I can't do it. Too many bills, kids, work demands, I sold my 87 buick grand national to have money for this project. its all I got. I couldn't build a plastic model of this truck if I had to do it from our paychecks! So I gotta be careful where the money goes cause I guarantee ya it could be spent tomorrow with the snap of the fingers.

Don't be too frustrated, I've been going for some years now, and I just now got the frame on the rotisserie.

Got a 351W (1993) need an intake/carb/dist and whatever else to set it back in time.
Need a transmission, C6 I guess. should I go C6 or AOD? I am leaning C6 but...I don't see us taking long trips in it but the extra mileage with overdrive might be nice.
Oh ! Nicolle bought me a cherry picker for Fathers Day! that was cool!
I am eventually gonna have some stuff available:
My Flatty 6 (not running but not locked up,heads off and cyl's look good)
Standard tranny
F3 suspension stuff front and rear including springs+hangers
I have like 5 leafs of the back springs each side but the rest are chicklets in a bucket!
probably the driveshaft too.
1991 Thunderbird IRS (too much work for me)
I have a "75 Camaro 10 bolt rear axle also if someone needs it.

I am just stuck at the moment an its depressing!
Jeff: Hang in there. Let me tell you a story that will make you feel better. About six months ago I was working on my 8BA on a four wheeled cart. Just 8" under the fan I had shelf. You know, being smart.....being able to lay tools etc. Well, I had a plastic bag on the shelf which contained two water outlets and a couple other parts. You know where this is headed. When the engine started, the fan sucked the bag up into the fan. The water outlet hit the fan and shot out like a bullet hitting me right in the mouth. Knocked out four upper front teeth and loosened four on the bottom. All said and done, approx. $8,000.00 in dental work. I know you feel better already...huh? Things could be worse....Stay up.

OUCH !!!

Yeah thats not funny! But I gotta say..I did smile a little!!

Yeah all jokes aside that stuff can happen, but wow what a freak accident! You were in the wrong place at the wrong time no doubt about it! That is a great story though! Sound like your truck has a little bit of Mustang in 'er. As in wild horse, likes to kick unpredictably..thanks and be careful! wear a helmet or something...

If he gives you a good price then go on uShip - The Online Shipping Marketplace - Ship Freight, Furniture, Vehicles or Moves and see if you can find someone to move it for you. A lot of times you find guys on there looking for something to fill in to avoid a dead head run and they will give you a good deal. If you are really flexible on delivery date it is even better.

If you could find someone going out to Bonneville in the next few months for speedweeks that might be an option. I was planning to go in Sept. if I can get one more day off from work.

whats the difference between the long bed box Jeff's looking for and the 55 long bed box? I know there is a fender difference.
If there isnt too much of a diff, he just needs to drive 3.5 hrs to des moines!

btw, Jeff, I did get your voicemail, it was burried in between 13 fax messages some dude leaves on my voice mail. If you're still interested I can give ya a shout this weekend.

I'll be "supervising" a head gasket install on one of these frame layin minis so I have free time!

I thought I read on here somewhere that like an '87 ford van or older had 351W's and C6's and I may be wrong too
