I am interested in replacing the factory radio/cassette in my 2002 Expedition with a factory in-dash radio/cd that fits a 2001 Expedition. Will I be able to just plug it in with all the same connections?

Are you just looking to add the CD function? If so, and easier solution might be to add the CD Changer in your console. I know that I have seen 3 or 4 of them on Ebay just in the last couple of days. If you are trying to add the CD changer, I would check and make sure that the radio does support the CD Changer (will be easy to do. Look at the buttons for your radio. Anything about the CD on there?).
If you are unable to add the changer, then replacing the radio might work. However, there are some issues that you need to keep in mind. There is another topic on this board that was written an REALLY explains all the details of the radios in our Exys. I cannot remember the title of the topic, but it had to do with Speakers for Exy, or Subs, or something. The issues stem from the amp and the type and specs of the head unit.
Not much help I know, but some ideas non the least.
Well, I ordered a factory replacement radio/single cd from radiosandmore.com and it fit perfectly......connections and all. Evidently they get their stock from the original equipment manufacturer. If anyone wants stock equipment, then they are the way to go. Next day shipping too!!!
