Front D60

I think I remember that our trucks can't use the SD D60 cuz of the bolt pattern, is that correct.

If this is not true and we can use that front D60 than I might be in luck
Check out what I found

Front and rear Axles off of 2000 F350 4x4 powerstroke

The lug pattern is different(smaller) on 99 and up. If you can deal with that buy getting another set of wheels go for it. Though the front is not ideal and the rear isn't much of an improvement. The front uses a sealed unit wheel bearing in those, they wear out, can't be serviced and are expesive to replace. Plus your ball joint. The rear is a 10.5, which is only a slightly upgraded 10.25

Yep. Different bolt pattern. I wouldn't mind running them if I could get both for a good price though.

For $1000 bucks you should be able to find a D60 from a pre-97 F350 if you're patient and keep your eyes open. Then you don't have to worry about the rear end.

Good thing about the SD rear end is it already has disc brakes.

You may find that it is well worth it to just buy a complete older(can't remember the years) F-350 with a kingpin D60. The truck could be cheaper then just buying the axle if the guy doesn't know what he's got, then you can swap axles and sell the truck.

I got my F-350 for about what just the KPD60 was worth.

87-96 F350s should have them I believe. 86 and older used TTB setup still.

I live in Colorado so it sure seems that everyone knows what they have . The axle in the add is $500 for front and $500 for rear, that's why I thought it might be worth it

$500 an axle is pretty good. I dont' think the rear is worth that. The front is.

$1000 for both is a good deal though. I'd probably buy them if I was in the market for it.

I did a 60 swap coupe years back on my 97 F-250,the spd is all wrong, the spring preches are different and wrong location,i want to stay their not spaced as wide as the obs, mine came from a 92-93 f-350,other problem with the darn spd is non serviceable knuckles and sealed units. If you can find one from a 78-85 F-350 with kingpin is gold!! No ball joints to wear out, esier to rebuild and do cross over steering if lifting truck which you"ll want to do anyways cause you need bigger spring packs than the ttb has.

Good luck,if find a kingpin let me know looking to swap my balljoint one!

The only years you can use is 85-92 kingpin and 93-97 balljoint. I got a kingpin out of an 88 and it bolted right in. Only thing is it is just a hair wider than the rear probably by about 3/4" on each side but it's not noticeable unless you look for it

You can drop in a super duty one too budd. (so i've been told, not 100% sure)

Just the bolt patterns for the rims are different.

The super duty 10.5 gen 3 has a smaller pinion than the gen 2 10.25
