I recently bought a '97 F-350 crewcab 4x4 with manual hubs and manual transfer case. Haven't had a chance to get any decent manuals for the rig, hence my questions.
Anything to be cautious of when pulling the dash indicator light switch out of the transfer case? Springs, detent *****, snakes, etc?
Any special procedures when installing the new switch?
Should be pretty simple. The hand full I have changed were just like a reverse switch on a manual trans. Just unhook the wires off the old one, unscrew it from T case, put a LIGHT coat of never seze on the threads of the new one, screw it in, attach wires. Should have a ball on the bottom however it should stay with the old switch.
