Broken gear shift lever - Auto trans
Yesterday night, I moved the lever to the D position and....****! It finished with the lever hanging on the OD switch wires. It brokes just at the hole it has for the wires to pass trough.
A new lever here in Buenos Aires ...about u$s 150.- so i´ll try to weld it.
Anyboby knows of this happening to someone else? Is possible that the lever brokes like that or i had a some shift linkage problem?

Well it seems that happens sometimes. But i fixed! I take off the steering colum plastic covers, and then the little pin that holds the lever. Disconnect the OD swtich and i had the 2 parts of the broken lever lever. It has the wires inside, so i had to dissamble the OD swrich to disconnect them and take them appart to weld the lever. I took some time but its ok again, and with no $$$ !!!!
