Chapter fund

Well we have a little over $100 in the chapter fund due to people donating their POTM prizes. I was thinking of maybe setting up an annual prize to be given at the Christmas party. FTE'r of the year.

Of course before I would do anything, having to do with chapter money I would bring it up for a vote--

SO Does everyone want to set up a small prize to be given at the Christmas party .... or mailed to them if they are unable to attend.

If so what criteria should we have to determine who gets it?

Funniest-- most helpful.. most active????? Cutest butt? :-)

I was thinking a small plaque, trophy-- t-shirt-- something like that.

So give us your thoughts.... Yeah-Nay or Heck No!!-- Open forum so say what you will. ?? ??

I am fine with it. perhaps we could have some kind of fund raiser to help build the fund up and give a way a little nicer prize? Perhaps the most involved individual, or a vote for the person who either gets suckered into, or volunteers to help others the most with their projects.
Maybe it could be whomever has the most Ford trucks (and or cars) titled in their name.

$100 isn't a lot, but I think that would be a nice gesture. The funds could also be available to use for things that may come up during the year where the chapter wants to provide a modest gift or recognition to a member etc.

How much does the chapter typically take in or spend during a year?

Ya knows ya should give me some limits on this kind o thing a ma bob.

Let's see a prize.........how bouts a Kazoo so's a feller kin toot his own horn so's ta speak. We could even git it writ on saying somp thin like Mondo FTE KS Chapter Grand Pooo Bar fer 2010. Ya could use the POTM winners as a startin pool. Course ya always need an other so folks kin write in ifin they want.

As far as using the KS chapter fund I'd say noooooooo. I'd let the fund grow and grow and grow. Onlyist way I say ta use the KS chapter $$$'s would be ifin we can't do it other wise.

Even ifin ya wanted ta do a t-shirt (I kin git a good deal on um at the DAV around the corner, this time o year lots of stuff pilled up over there on sunday after folks dump left over yard sale stuff) we could say sub dec. potm for grand poo bar o the year.

FTE'r o the year would need to award special powers ur somethin. Gonna hav ta thunk on thet a bit.

My two cents would be to say no, I think it would be more beneficial to the chapter for it to be used towards an event of some sort. It could be used for event costs, or even to defray (sp) the cost of the members going to that event.

SO we have a couple no's-- and a couple yeah's and a couple "whatevers" kind of a 3 way split.

Del To answer your question-- I don't know. Since I have been leader there have been no expenses for the chapter. Since I have been a member I have seen the fund be used to buy things for outstanding individuals, used as a loan to pay taxes, and be used for a prize or 2 at a g2g.

I was just kinda of letting all know we have a fund- how much is in it (approx)-- kind of getting an idea of what we want to use it for.

Fund raiser idea.. Wet t-shirt contest! I`ll gladly MC the event and sell tickets! I`d even be so generous as to man the hose!

I dunno Kenny, I would have to lose quite a bit of weight before I was presentable for a wet t-shirt contest
