The best mud boggers!

I know most of you are on the same page as i am.
That these 1973-79 f150, f250, and f350s, and broncos are the best mudders ever.
My 79 f250 has a 390 and c-6 with only a 2 inch lift.
I have crappy 31 inch tires and compete with all the other 6 inched, super swampered, chevies and dodges. the other fords with 6 inch lifts, 460's and super swampers destroy me.
But this year i bought some mean 35 inch goodyear dana torque 2 tractor tires to show them what my truck could do.
But the racing league outlawed my tires before i got a change to use them. I complied. I race stock class and need a DOT approved tire.
Does anyone know of a dot approved tractor tire that is 35 inches tall and 11 or 12 inches wide? i kindof want to kick mud in there faces and the dot rule is all that they can hold me back with right now.

I don't believe any kind of tractor tire is DOT approved. Try some Super Swampers or Super Swamper Boggers. These tires are excellent for the mud or snow for that matter and come in all sizes. They come in bias ply or radial and are DOT approved.

I agree on these trucks being awesome. You forgot the F100. I have a 76 F100 and before I took it apart for some much needed work I got a chance to play in the mud with it. It was the first time I drove it and I went through our mud covered corn field and it drove through it like I was on pavement. Come to find out I wasn't in 4wd at all the shifter was stuck. In 2wd on some 33's with maybe 20% tread at the most I drove through that mud like it was pavement. I took my ford explorer through the same spot and got stuck in seconds in 4wd with 90%tread on my tires. F100 to the rescue!

Boggers are my first choice and they are DOT approved. Expensive though.
Super Swampers would be my next choice.

I run boggers on both of my mud bog trucks

Boggers hands down are going to be the best DOT approved tire. Dunno how picky your officials are, so check ahead of time, but see if you can't do some cutting and grooving to the tires. Typically, that voids the DOT approval, but it would help you in the pit.

a lot of guys down here run the old school p buckshots or the q buckshots in their mud bog trucks. Gateway makes them but recently went out of business making them almost obsolete. the q's are the most common on mud bog trucks. think they are something like 35x11

where can you get them? cannot find them anywhere. National tire and wheel had some 36 inch gateway radials for a while but sold out of them. i have found a couple backwoods shops that had some but none for a 16 inch wheel like i need. the gateway buckshots are by far my favorite tire in the mud

I have always likes the boggers in the rear and ground hawgs in the front for mud running! Are you allowed to do any grooving on the tires?

I have seen buckshots on ebay... I'm not sure where you can get the interco ones, but you could try calling interco. I know that in a recent issue of fourwheeling they pointed out that gateway went under, but interco was still making them. ???

I don't think Interco makes the Buckshots. Interco does make the Ground Hawg which was once manufactured by Denman. Denman recently went bankrupt and was purchased by Titan Tire.
