Time for a rebuild?
This ole 351w seems to be down on power too. I can't spin the tires in first or second around a sharp corner on dry pavement. But in the rain, its another story. She likes to slide sideways when i get on it too much. My buddy with a all stock truck beats me down the road every time we mess around. My truck has headers and a full exhaust and should be able to get up and go a little better than his with the same set up. I can see black on my bed where it exits out the side in front of the passenger tire. I can also see white smoke coming out of it when i first take off in the morning of our WARM summer so i know it isn't just being burnt up in the Hi revving action. So what do ya'll think? About time for a rebuild?? Or could there be another problem here?
I am no engine expert but I think you answered your own question.
burning oil white smoke carbon deposits on your vehicle.
time to rip the guts out
makes me wonder if you decide to stroke a 351 to a 383 or 408 what it would do in our trucks...
