So im still have trouble with my steering and i was thinking could it be do to my pitman arms? Im new to these trucks and have been learning all that i know as i go and from here. I have power to turn to the left but then when i go to turn to the right i cant turn it for the life of me. its a 79 f150, 6 inch lift, and 35s. Its the last thing i need to get fixed before i can get her on the road! Any help or thought on the issue would be great. This is just something, someone said they thought it could be but im clueless at this point.
How hard is it to rebuild the power steering box? and who sells rebuild kits for the steering box? I know i saw something on bronco graveyard but it said it only had the seals.

I think your better off buying a rebuilt one, Redhead Steering has a good reputation for providing excelent products.
Me, no, I've never had the need to rebuild or replace one, which now that I think about it is really surprising given how many old vehicles I maintain.
But as important as proper function is I think it's a really bad idea for any kind of novice to attempt it for a vehicle that will be on the road. Saving a few bucks just isn't worth that kind of risk.
I'm sorry but your post tells me you don't know much about this stuff yet, thus I urge you just for safeties sake to not attempt it.
