Vin decode help

Hi Im looking at 75 f250 crew cab and trying to ID the engine off this vin # owner says it is a 360 or 390 but not sure on this code could someone help me out? Vin is F25JCW49681 thanks for any help, Rob

Thanks mike i had a book for a 79 but this being a 75 i wasnt sure if it was still the same thanks again, Rob

I thought Ford never put anything but a 360 for a V8 in the 73-76 4x4s? Maybe Canadaian Ford was different?

F25 in the vin is 2wd. It would have been F26 for 4wd. See Mikeo0o0o0 post #3.

Ok, I reread and he must have edited out the part where it says its a 4x4.......... I dunno where I got that from!
