About to do this, but one question- if I unhook neg cable will I lose all my contacts in my Sync for my phone? Will I have to reprogram all those? I figure I'll have to do presets for Sirius and AM/FM but with my phone I had to upload each contact individually and it took more time than I want to spend again right now. Thanks- Tim
OK great- thanks shotgunz. That raises another question, where is the Master reset? Is that in the menu for the Sync?
EDIT: Ok that was easy. Hardest part was resetting the clock- wasn't as described in the owners manual. We'll see how she runs tomorrow.
I still have the SCT X3 from the 6.0, maybe after she gets a few miles on her I'll consider a tune. Right now I'm enjoying having a warranty for a change!
I did look at the dyno sheet. Sorry, I had to chuckle at the 7 hp. You have to realize that I could program in an extra 125 hp at the push of a button in the 6.0. I mean no disrespect its just something I have to get used to. However, this 5.4 has enough power for me for awhile. I ran a DD stock+ tune which was "only" 20+ hp, and I played with a few others that made me say "WOW!" I don't need that much power anymore, and I certainly don't need the headaches that were/ could have been associated with that extra power.
EDIT: Also, I could always sell the SCT and get an Edge if it ever comes to that.
I had the EDGE when it first came out in 05 or 06 in my 05 Supercrew with 5.4. Didn't help any on the fuel mileage, but sure helped on the power and crisper shifts for the tranny.
Thinking about one for my 2010, but haven't read up enough to see how the EDGE has evolved over the years. And I am a little more concerned about the warranty issue.
Update: Well, hand calc'ed the last tank, Friday, got the same mpg -15.6. However, I'm happy to report that on the way to the Jersey shore today, I managed as much as 21.6 on the TP and a final avg of 20.3, according to the lie-o-meter, so it looks promising. It can't hurt, right? As far as the "noise", I did hear a slight whoosh at low rpms, but I had a 4" straightpipe and 5" stacks on the diesel, so I really had to concentrate to even hear that! I'll hand calc the next tank on Tue as I have to go back home -I coach my sons little league allstar team and we have games Mon and Tue so I'll refill and check it then, and report back.

Took a 300 mile round trip today and ended up with 18.6 mpg. But according to my scanguage, at 65 mph for 40 miles of the trip, I got 20.5 mpg. The rest of the trip I was on the Interstate cruising at 80, and it hung around 18-19 mpg. Hopefully it will go up a bit after a few more miles on it.

I was doing 65-70, the whole trip was with the AC on, me and 2 kids, and some gear. The wife drove separately since I have to go back home for the son's allstar baseball game Mon and Tue night. Hopefully mine will go up also, but its better than the 14 I got with the Big diesel.
