I just wish I knew why mine does not work at all! New switch, checked wiring, fuses - no juice to the fan!

Dale - Did you call them to find the price? Interesting that for a 03-04 Expedition bottom seat cushion it is $431, for your '04 Navi it lists it as $125. For $100 it seemed like a great idea to just get one, for $400+ not so much.

I ordered on-line. Mr. Ed at www.partsguyed.com has been a great communicator both with email and phone. I would suggest sending him an email with the same question.

I agree, the price difference is tremendous. It does seem strange there are drawings of the parts for the Navi but none for the Expedition. I will post some pictures of the new pad and duct work when it arrives and you can compare.

gzimmer...can you hot wire the blower to see if it will run? (new blower $62.64 from Ed.) According to the Navi drawing there is a thermostat or two also.

Got the new foam in. Feels like brand new, I like it. Air flow is as good as it was new. I was able to unclip the seat cover in the front, and then slide back the first clip on the door side and unattach the first clip on the console side. It was just enough room to get the old one out and wiggle the new one in. I did the power tilt motor at the same time which confounded the job a bit (sorry Ed, got it for $20 less from another sponsor and funds are limited right now). Spent as much time trying to find clever ways to short cut it as it took to actually just do it right. With the foam out I was able to do it from the top side with the seat still in place. One oddity along the way. When I removed the original foam the power to the seats, mirrors and adjustable pedals went dead. They all share a common relay and I though maybe I had disturbed something which caused it to go out. Lucky for me I have a parts truck in the bay right next to me. Swapped relays and still nothing. Put the original foam back in to see if it would have any effect and suddenly everything comes back. Didn't do a lot of trouble shooting on that, just finshed the job and put the new foam in. Everything works.

I finally got around to installing my new cushion. Life kept getting in the way.

I still had to remove the side trim panel on my navi because one of the panel mounts sticks through a hole in the side of the leather seat cover preventing the cover from coming off.

I can't really say the new seat is any cooler than the old one was after vacuuming the debris out originally, but it is definitely more comfortable with improved support. If your original foam is in good shape, vacuuming the debris out alone should do the trick.
