Transmission trouble
I currently have a 1967 cj5 with a 73 351w in it and a fmx medium case transmission and was driving down the road at 50 mph the other day and the vehicle just quit. No gears at all. Engine runs fine but transmission wont go into gear at all i can still put in a gear though and hear the rpms of the engine go down like there in gear but i rev the engine and nothing. Color of fluid was fine no smell at all but i was getting a grinding noise when i went to far past park. But i was also getting a whirling sound from around the fluid. What could this be? Any help would be great.
