96 f150 4x4 5.0 would shorty headers be a good buy for h.p. I got a stock y pipe and stock cat going to a glass pack to dual out the back.

Same as last post , you need to replace the stock y pipe & cat with a good flowing exhaust , long tube headers are better for TQ & HP .....Lew

Shorties are better than manifolds but only if the Y-pipe with cats are changed as well, otherwise you will see very little if any gains.
