I nned to pull the motor from my heater and see what's causing the thumping noise when I turn it on. Since I have never done this, so I need to drain the system or is there a way to remove the motor? Thanks.
A - HAH! so it has a thumping noise. You didn't tell us that when you were blowing breakers. Sounds like the squirrel case is dragging or you have a mouse nest in there. (don't laugh).
Do you know what kind of heater you have? Take a pic and post it - procedures are different for each heater.
But only down about 1/4 of the way. Then you can disconnect your heater hoses (they are high in the cooling system) without loosing coolant when you remove the heater hoses after that.
