Typically pay $85-90 for both filters. Less than hour install time... you got raped. Hope they kissed you will it was happening!

I don't even smoke, but I would have expected a courtesy pack of cigarettes and a jar of Vasoline after that one.

Thanks,
FD-4609 is the part number I use on my 6.4l diesel.
and that matches the link I sent you for the ebay item.
I ONLY use original Motorcraft filters, per the recommendation here on the board.

Just installed one on Saturday.

My power stroke owners manual supplement says FD-4604. Is that a misprint? I have a 2008 SD 6.4 PSD. Can someone confirm this is a misprint? I thought the 2 filters were different. Does'nt the one in the water separator have some kind of cover on it.

5 quart jug. I always try to pay close attention when buying those jugs for an oil change. I have seen gallons, 5 qts, 4.73 qts.

Nope, your math is correct. Some places sell 4Q gallon jugs, some sell 4 3/4q, some give you the full 5q. Walmart used to be the only ones that I knew of to sell 5q "gallon" jugs, but now most auto parts stores are doing it as well. I guess they think that if they can convince you that there are five quarts in a gallon they can downplay just how much of the stuff really is leaking into the gulf.
