With stage I's do you mod the injector with the DIY kit? Or is it just swapping out stuff? And how cheap is it?

I did the DIY kit on my Stage I's. Pretty simple to do once you get the first one done. Good kit, lots of pictures, good instructions.
I think something didn't seat right in one of mine because I have a miss now and it looks like one injector isn't firing right. Just have to pull it out and do a quick teardown and put it back again.

check engine light was probably a HPOP warning. If you still have the stock HPOP with Stage I's you will run out of oil at WOT.

It's ok to hit over 1200* for a short burst but not extended periods. Try to keep it lower, but if you are at the drag strip or sled pulling they hit higher temps pretty often.

There is no wastegate on our trucks, however it is probably the EBPV you guys are hearing.

Depends if you find a shop to machine your Intensifier Pistons or buy the pre-machined Pistons. I'm not permitted to talk pricing but you can read more here: DIY-Injectors.com.

Jim is definitely a great guy to work with as lots on here will say. Check out his site or send him an email, very reasonable prices. I also sent mine for him to do, not that much more money and you know they are done right.

If you plan on getting both the chip and stage ones, you can get either first. If you get a chip first, get it burnt for the ones since you will be putting them in anyway. Jim also has a great price on PHP chips too.

LoL good to know, should i gut it or unplug it? I would like to hook it up to a switch and make an exhaust brake...Is it worth it?

I unplugged mine and that made it go away. just look for the plug right under the intake side of the turbo. I'm not sure about the exhuast brake part, someone else would have to answer your question on that.

the exhaust brake idea isn't good on the automatics. Works ok in the manual trans trucks.

I'm planning to gut mine at some point, or upgrade turbos.
