Just a simple question

I just bought a 2003 F350 Super duty last month and both the wife and myself have been wondering something. On the lower part of the Dash in the middle there is a hook built into the plastic of the Dash. What the Heck is it for?

I hang a big key ring on mine to hold all the jillion keys I need during the day but don't want to carry in my pocket or on my belt. Probably one of those "thousand and one" options ! LOL
