Ball Joint ? 2wd

I had new ball joints pressed into the spindle of my 2wd and this morning bolted the spindle back on. With the ball joints torqued to spec, 99lbs lower and 60lbs upper, the spindle is noticeably difficult to turn. It takes considerable force for me to turn it by hand. Is this normal? I assume it is, and that my old ball joints were really loose, but I want to make sure before I bolt everything back up. Thanks.

Did you grease them prior to installing them? It always makes installation easier before you grease them one last time...

Make sure they're greased. That aside, they should be a bit stiff for awhile when they're still new. They'll loosen up a bit after some driving. (Mine was the same way.)
