clutch?

my 97 hops pretty good in reverse especially backing a trailer, no issue in any of the forward gears i do have a oil leak that i cant find its not on top its either a plug on the upper passenger side or rear main that could be dripping on the clutch, maybe a throw out bearing any ideas could it be the clutch starting to go out. the dual mass flywheel came apart and I replaced it with a single about 30000 mi ago. Thanks

in one direction and not the other sounds like an engine mount. check the one on the pass side. just a thought

sounds like hot spots to me... you slip that clutch frequently when backing trailers and stuff?

Possibly a warped clutch disc?

Does it have an aftermarket clutch?

I try not to slip it at all but it happens, I replaced the dual mass flywheel with a single and put a clutch in about 30000mi ago. this was before i was on this site and didnt pay any attention to what clutch, it all came in a kit.
