4wd = win

Well I've had my new (to me) truck for about a week. My first truck was a 2wd F-150 and after that I told myself that I would never get another 2wd truck again.

Anyway, I had the chance to test my 4WD for the first time. I was picking up a part for my truck and when I pulled out, I drove on this grassy slope which actually was a very muddy slope. The truck stopped and wouldn't go anywhere. I got out, locked in my hubs put her in 4-low and pulled right out of that mud!

I know I'm a 4x4 but I was sure happy that I had it... actually more happy that everything actually worked since I really didn't thoroughly test the 4WD when I bought the truck.

Now if my M5OD would only quiet down... and my clutch actually be consistent...

Yeah- 4x4 is a wonderful invention. And if you think you are having fun now-just wait for this winter. I suspect that you get snow like your sister state to the west gets snow (Colorado). And these 4x4 trucks get right handy going thru deep snow.

And it is fun pulling out the little econo cars that get stuck in the deep snow. FWD sure doesnt compare to good ol 4x4s with high clearance.

And just 400 miles to the West of you-there is the best area in the world for trying out your 4x4-the Rocky Mountains and hundreds of miles of 4x4 steep trails and beautiful mountain views.
