but form what i can see the edelbrock is wider, and the "go fast" lever is quite a bit farther forward..oh and i have a 351W with an edelbrock intake if that means anything...and the throttle cable is like 1-2" behind where it would connect to the carb..but yet the holly fits with no issues..

well it seems as if the cable itself is too short..where it connects to the carb the carb would have to be back a lil ways..

oh, ok.. so you already have it bolted on to where the cable sits further forward?

someone please correct me if i'm wrong.. but isn't the I6 cable longer from the bracket tab to the end? mine may have had a I6 cable because it was originally an I6 truck

here is what it looks like..but when i connect the cable the carb opens up about 1/4 way is there a way to remove the choke? cause it looks like i could run it on the inside of the bracket and it would work.. but the choke is in the way..

and YES thats zip ties holding the cable into the bracket..

i dunno if this would help or but but here ya go

Could very well be the way I'm looking at it, but can't you just move the bracket to the bolt in the intake?
