Wiring schematic program?
Maybe I am dreaming here, but has anybody ever heard of a computer program that can be used to create a wiring diagram? It would be two dimensional, so a computer would not have to have giant memory, just be able to draw lines and boxes and enlarge and reduce and orient text both E-W and N-S. Cut and paste and edit and copy like a word program. I have been working on a schematic for an 18 circuit Painless kit and so far I just keep using up erasers and paper. I am using now, a 30"x40" tablet from office max but the do-overs and restarts are killing me. If any one has heard of a PC application that would be nice.

Most of the drafting programs have electrical templates with symbols that can be used. But you have to learn how to use the programs, which are usually complicated. One older program that I really liked was Visio technical and it had symbols you could drag and drop. But it was a "borrowed" program and once my hard drive went out, I lost it. I don't know if they still make this program and how much it costs. Anything worth having I doubt is going to be free.
