If the boost seems late, it sure sounds to me like that would be related to the puff of smoke you have been seeing. The fuel got there, but the air was late to the party, ya know? So yeah, sounds turbo related, but I just don't know enough to comment beyond that.
I don't think it's going to hurt anything. I hope you can just enjoy your vacation and start thinking about it when you get home.
I will enjoy - I just don't like have something looming over my head like this. I just think that the updates to the software may have altered the way the truck drives. It has almost 3000 miles on it since the updates, so I don't think there is any further relearning for the truck to do. We shall see. Thanks for the advice.
It was Ken Garf Ford in American Fork. I talked to one of the techs there, can't remember his name, but he looked like Santa Clause!! They were pretty good guys, and fair. Didn't charge me the $90 diag fee after having the truck for 24 hours and doing a bunch of testing. I went ahead and had them R&R my front brake pads and turn the rotors and after all was said and done, they did not charge me for the diagnosis!!
Do you know or recommend them? Being from across the country, I went with the closest Ford dealer - didn't have a recommendation to go on.
I have not worked with them. They are about 20 miles south of me. I have heard good things about them. Looks like they gave you good service. Have a safe trip and hopefully things will run well for ya.
