2003 EXPO Something else

I watched the unveiling (sp) of the expo live on the net. and man it looks nice, at a push of a button the rear seats fold into the floor its amazing, independent rear suspension is gonna make the ride the best its ever been so they say. they claim its gonna be a ULEV vehichle and has up the payload from previous models. I love my expy! but this expy is gonna be the standard of suv's. oh and it has side curtain airbags and esp!

Four wheel independent suspension will be the optimum in ride quality. It should ride like floating on a cloud. It would be nice to see an adjustable suspension on the new Expy for those off road adventures.

I'm wondering about stability when pulling a heavy trailer in a cross wind. My wife already wants to trade her '01 in on one.

Towing will be a strong suit, IRS was designed to increase stability, check the turning circle (38.7')to get any better you have to look to GMC Denali P/up (old C3)with 4 wheel steer (400 lbs extra curb weight will sap power and fuel milage)

The front end styling needs help but thats pretty easy (check after market valances)
This year the 5.4 gets somther & quiter, next year comes more power (I hear 25+ HP)

Great article link to that Ford Media site, EXPEDITION-NAVIGATOR. I was able to download the entire press kit into my Palm. Now I have the pictures and articles with me so I can read them later. I hope they give me media rights (I sorta told a white lie) so I can get the high resolution pictures on this site.

2003 EXPO Something else

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-Jan-02 AT 05:10 PM (EST)]Does anyone know if Ford plans to bump the HP to 300 in the 5.4 for the Expy like they did for the Navigator this year? I'm surprised they did not make this an option over the 260 5.4.

It seems that the "air suspension" will be late availibility this year. I can't wait to get my hands on one, but I've got to wait for the four corner air suspension for my boat and off roading adventures.

The High RES pics on the Ford Media site are mouth watering.
