you can but duallys are setup so that the front wheels are lined up right in the middle of the rear wheels. so if you take off the outside rear wheels then they will be inside of the front wheels and give you a more narrow wheelbase in the rear. what are you trying to accomplish?

IIRC ...on a standard bed the front are in line with the inside rear. on a chassis cab the front are in the middle of the rears.
