They both work in tandem. If you go bigger with one, I would suggest going bigger with the other. There are some exceptions of course, but for the most part they are a package deal.

Again, thanks for your input.
Well the money restriction only goes so far. The fact that you keep on saying fast streetable truck limits you to a set of Stage III injectors and a 66mm turbo. Any higher then that and you'll be pissing money away as your peak HP will be so far up the rpm range you won't see it on the street unless you want to be really revving your engine all the time. Also if you max out to Stage III injectors and a 66mm turbo, you pretty much shouldn't tow anything at all, no matter the weight unless you want to take some chances. I don't know if that is a concern or not, but I do believe it's worth mentioning.

Also when you do turbo and/or injector upgrades, some things you should keep in mind. You won't be able to just go into any Ford dealership and get service at all. Quite a few places won't take vehicles that extensively moddified. You also may not find that many shade tree shops either that are well versed competently with the 6.0 to handle those modifications. Be prepared to do a lot of wrench work yourself. Also down time will also be longer. You also won't be able to go to a Ford dealership to just pick up parts that you might need.

Having said that, I would still do my upgrades in a heart beat again, but I just feel like people should be informed as I have a feeling most just see the fun aspect of it and not the dirty side of it.

Thanks again for the info. I really am not setup for working on the truck myself, so I think I'll keep things more reserved. If I had the time and tools I may try dabbling in the higher HP upgrades in the future.

I would be towing about 8,000 lbs a couple times a week.

The dealership I go to said they had no problems with upgrades to diagnose/repair the truck. But I also have a local guy here that is into HP upgrades for cars and trucks. He did my Suncoast tranny upgrade and I was happy with the work. He also has a loaner truck that is wired for pulling a trailer (brakes etc.) and I can carry around my tools. Which is much better than the loaner the dealer has that doesn't have a set-up for towing lol. So I suppose if I need work done I would survive.

I didn't realize that you needed to get into the higher RPm to make use of the bigger HP. Glad you told me!

I gotta keep my eyes on the main goal which is reliability. Even though I'd love to have the fastest work truck in town lol. Your advice has really given me a reality check and I appreciate your comments and the others here that take the time to answer.

Tex would you say your truck is still very much a street truck though? As in you can tow safely but have considerable more get-up-and-go than just stock with a HP tune? You sound happy with your truck. Are there any other upgrades planned for your truck in the future?

Thanks!

I have considerably more get up and go then stock, I can tow ~16k worth of horseflesh and related equipment(and do) and what I have is easily seen on the street. Have to rev it up a little bit, but it's not like revving up to the governor or anything like htat.

No planned upgrades as the tuning is damn near perfect right now for everything that I do. When you start getting to the bigger turbos, tuning becomes a very big issue. Some people experience what some term "dead spots" and that is almost exclusively a tuning issue.
