It looks like it's time to replace my tie rod ends and I was checking out prices on the net today and came up with a question. What is the difference between Ford, Raybestos and Moog and is it worth the money to go with Moog? When I need to replace parts, I want to use the best available, but don't want to spend unnecessarily if they are the same animal. Anyone have any advice on this subject?
Moogs are top of the line and are what's best for our trucks as far as steering components are concerned. If you have an Advance Auto Parts near you, I'd go to them and get the Moogs with a lifetime warranty. If I can help it, I'd only like to pay for something once, that's why if I need parts I go to Autozone, O'reilly, or Advance.
While you're under there working on the front end, you may as well do the ball joints and service the hubs. You'll kill 3 good size birds with one stone and you won't have to worry about either for a long time. Just a suggestion...

I was going to do the ball joints at the same time, but have not had problems with the 4wd yet rolling at 93k. How in depth is the job? Checked out the guzzle page and lost interest with the make up in there. Is it pretty straight forward? It's finally summer here in washington and time to put away the tools and hit the mountains with the trailer.
