Tranny Problem
I've got 95 with 161k miles on it with basic mods dp tuner, exhaust... and the other day the od light started blinking and the tranny temp kept climbing and climbing. They scanned it for codes and it was the torque converter slipping. It's at a tranny shop now and i wont know any more details until they open it up monday morning.
They told me they would replace the converter with a triple clutch converter (no idea on what brand) but since it was all apart i might as well do the tranny with a rebuild. They said they use heavy duty parts ( again no idea on what brand) and do it all for a price of $2500.
I use the truck for work and i snow plow in the winter and tow a trailer so i want to do this right. I know getting a BTS tranny is the way to go but the price is a little to high for me. So my options are rebuild it better, or put some other type of tranny in it like a jaspar tranny.
I would appreciate some advice of what i should do\buy because i'm not real sure and i need to get the truck running again as soon as possible.

Ask them what they are going to do exactly.
Pull the transmision cooler and chunk it; get a new one, heavy duty. Go there and see then pan when its pulled and see how much muck is on the pan magnet.
Then ask them about a valve flush and rebuild.
Do they do much transmision work and have experience? The Flter O-Ring like to stik up inside and if they miss that on the reinstall then the new filter will pop off and dry run your pump and croak the rebuild especially if it does it when your at crusin speed and its hot.
