I purchased a new temp sensor for my 86 ford bronco 302 efi,
Ford Motorcraft DY1145 is the part # listed, when it came the new harness has the same color wires. The question I have is does it matter, which wire goes where? the wires on the original harness are green and a black wire.

Nope, don't matter ... It's basically a variable resistance switch, If you put a VOM on it, then heat it up, you will see it'll read the same either way.
