blue smoke

alright guys, ive got blue smoke on startup that keeps puffing for a few minutes and then goes away. Also, was backing up to a trailer today, just idling along and had a terrible case of the shakes, almost enough to shake ya outta the seat. Im thinking I might have an injector pissing fuel. Also if I ever lug the motor, I get blue smoke instead of black. Sometimes ill get black, but its usually bluish white.

glow plugs are my first guess for the start-up issues.

Maybe your shaking is a broken glow plug tip in your cylinder causing problems

Test lights are easy to make, couple pieces of wire and a bulb ... get fancy and use a bulb socket with pigtail...

-Enjoy

If thats the case, its probly time for an IP too. Id prefer to do em both in one shot, but I dont have that kinda cash to lay out right now. As good as my mileage has been It makes me think that the IP and injectors would be in good shape, but its hard for me to say. Ive been seeing about 21mpg. weaseled 400 miles out of my last tank of fuel.......
