Couple things bugging me... Needs some help!!!

I have been driving my Ex daily for over 2 years now and 30k miles later I have to say that I am generally pleased. Replaced a turbo and alternator but I expected that to a degree. Both were replaced under warranty so no worries. But, now I am having a couple issues that are beginning to drive me crazy. In the morning the truck starts rough and idles rough for 5-8 minutes. I live in central Cali so I know that temp isn't the issue. I am debating on switching to full synthetic next change to see if it helps out with clearing any gummed injectors. Also, anyone have any tips on an additive that I can run through to clear up the rough start? Second. When I first bought the ex I replaced the tires because they had a poor wear pattern and I wanted to start fresh. I had the truck aligned and tired installed as well as Monroe shocks and new steering shock. Now, I am duplicating the same wear pattern and I need to align for the 4th time in 2 years with zero off-roading. Last, my door ajar sensor has been on for a while now and I tried the cheap fix with wd 40 but it didn't clear it up.

The positives.. Still getting 19mpg on the highway @ 72-3 mph and it tows my trailer like nothing was behind it.

What synthetic does everyone recommend?

As far as the door ajar sensors, mine was doing this and I noticed the connections for the rear barn doors were coated in dust and general road grime. I cleaned them off and the light went out! Hope this helps!

I will try cleaning everything off the hatch and place and order for hot shot. I think my entire front end needs replaced though... Crappy part is I don't have the time to do it myself.

the rough morning starts is probably glow plugs. Even in Cali the will work till you get to about 140* coolant temp. Have you change your fuel filter recently? I f you are getting any "bio" fuels these act as cleaners and will scrub the complete fuels system, dirtying filters prematurely a couple of times while getting the gunk out.

I had the tires balanced and rotated today and it helped alleviate some of the shimmy in the pedal while braking. I also had them check the front end suspension and it was all good and tight. Tonight I am doing an oil change and putting in Rotella T synthetic... Hopefully it will provide a smoother start and better operation for my injectors. I still think I need to replace fuel filters but that will be for another night.

By the way. Does anyone do a mid-oil-change filter change to keep their oil cleaner longer? Just curious
