thats it-the truck is officially for sale. done fixing, fixing re-fixing,and fixing again. in the last year i have put $18000.00 into this damn business, i am now broke and just had to fix the damn truck AGAIN ( fuel filter-$60.00 and it clogged in a month. plus i got stuck when it clogged. ) i just cant do it anymore. anybody interested ? got a new $5000.00 wheel lift, new $3500.00 boom, new $1500.00 winch, new $1200.00 dollies, banks turbo, dual 3" stacks in bed, dana 60 front sterling 10.25 rear, manaul shifted transfer case, e40d trans rebuilt 13000 miles ago, etc...all papers up to date, a/c works, truck now runs again. its the one in the avatar, crewcab 4x4 7.3. seriously, make me an offer--im tired of this damn thing breaking on me.

hey i got 600.......... just kidn you should cool off i had the same feeling last week but it sounds like you got a good truck and a fuel filter is not the end of the world i know some times the damn things nickle and dime you but think of 50,000 for a new one that looses 5,000 at least a year.

Hate to be that guy, but filters do not clog on their own - something needs to clog them, and stuff like that usually don't just happen by itself all of sudden - it's ether a batch of bad fuel, or the owner decides to be environmentally-friendly all of sudden and runs some bio through the tanks which loosens up all the junk accumulated in the system over the years - either way it's not the truck's fault, but really the owner's... So in your case, what causes your filter to clog up that quick?

Then I guess it really wouldn't have mattered what truck you got... Why they hate you so much, is your truck excessively loud and/or smoky? Got a muffler before the stacks?

over half of your breakdowns and problems Chip, are not "the hillbilly limousine" (your trucks name) specific.
they are problems that you will have,or would have had with any truck.
now you want to beat on her because of the neighbors pranks and blame it on the truck? like any other fuel filter on a different rig wouldn't have clogged in the same situation or something lmao.
don't be so hard on the old girl lol.

are you interested in selling without all the towing gear, i want a super cap to put on my extended cab to mate with a smaller flat bed, but i also want all the other parts to make one really good truck and have extra parts when i need them.
