parted trucks help?

ok so I got a guy who is parting a 2000 7.3l... So i'm thinking hpop, turbo, pedestal, intercooler, tubes, spider... what else can I scavenge off of a 2000 that I can transfer over to upgrade my 97? Or get for someone else who might have some use for it later? Ideas? Any fuel system components?

Found another guy who is parting a 96 who's willing to strip everything. But I don't really need anything from an obs... cept some interior trim panels that I emailed him about. still waiting to find out what color the inside is. Might see how many miles the motor has on it and maybe pick up the turbo and pedestal for that too. I'm thinkin either rebuild and the obs turbo and mod the pedestal and install that on my truck, or go with the supper dooty pedestal and turbo with bellowed uppipes... but that costs more...

OK

1. Useful parts list for a 2000 7.3 that I can scrap from that guy
2. parts list I might look for on the obs 7.3

3. and not nearly as pressin an issue, or as important, supper dooty turbo and pedestal or rebuilt obs turbo with modded pedestal? Oh and I'm hoping to get his SD hpop to send to terminator to get a modded 17

In all honesty, our turbos are better than the SD ones, So that wouldn't be an "upgrade" persay. I would definitely grab the HPOP and Intercooler as well as the pipes. I would try to find an early99 spider. If you want to use that spider, you need to get the 3" intake plenums as well. You can also grab the electric fuel pump as well.

IIRC you can take that turbo, throw on your 1.1 housing and wheel, upgrade the intake and just toss the intercooler on.

yeah, i haven't heard back from him as of yet... but when I do I'll see if he's willing to part the motor instead of trying to offload it whole. If I can, i'll take the turbo off from the pedestal down to the up pipes so I have it all. but I aint paying a fortune for it... so we'll see what happens...

Yes, but i believe you would also need the drivers side manifold as well as the uppies and the pedistal.

O I C. Are you positive on that?
I ask because Clay at RiffRaff didn't mention the drivers side manifold being included in the kit for the 38R. Maybe I didn't get it written down either.

The out-flange is slightly longer. Just went through spec'ing all this out.

Got the up-pipes this morning. Thanks, Clay!
